Criminal proceedings often depend on objective and proficient forensic investigation and testimony. Forensic investigators must rise above ethical, technical and legal challenges to ensure they maintain their credibility and professionalism within the criminal justice system. Students will simulate the investigative process from the initial crime scene investigation through testimony in mock court. In the process, students will employ industry-accepted standards in crime scene investigation, evidence illustration, and critically evaluate the scope and reliability of forensic testimony.
