This course provides students with the skills required to plan and instruct a group exercise class. Topics include: class formats, use of music, cueing, and successful instructional techniques. Students gain experience in the instruction of a warmup, cardiovascular, and group strength training while being exposed to flexibility and mobility training. This active course takes place in a dedicated group exercise studio where students practice teaching sessions and learn from their peers and their instructor.
