In this course, students examine global trends and the current state of the fiction and nonfiction multiplatform storytelling industry in Canada. Through focused viewing and immersion, readings and analysis, guest presentations, and guided visits to production sites, students explore the evolving relationship between storytelling as a cultural practice, digital strategy of storytelling as a business practice, and the transitioning mediums used to communicate their meaning.
