Students will examine key components such as payment gateways, electronic funds transfers (EFT), near-field communication (NFC), and real-time payment networks. The course covers traditional payment ecosystems, including credit card processing and interbank settlement, as well as emerging innovations like central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), open banking, and cryptocurrency-based payments.
