This course will lead students through the process of visual composition, design and being able to read an image within the viewfinder. Students will be introduced to the currency of visual literacy and the principles of design with creative applications and aesthetic considerations of the photographic medium. A range of design elements and techniques will be examined along with viewer perceptions, filters and cultural considerations.
