Students examine the design and verification of fire-resistance ratings where the Ontario Building Code requires fire separations because of building classification, separation of major occupancies, service spaces and exits, including penetrations of fire separations. They also explore concepts including means of egress, exit facilities and fire protection and suppression methods.
