Chemistry 2

Course Code: GCHM 150

Academic Year: 2024-2025

Students further their understanding of concepts that form the basis of modern chemistry. Students review the behaviors of acids and bases, and study chemical systems and equilibrium. They also broaden their understanding of chemistry by studying organic chemistry, including the behaviours of major classes of organic molecules. Students develop problem-solving skills and laboratory skills as they explore chemical processes. Students also strengthen their technical reading and writing skills through the communication of scientific information. Throughout the course students will examine the importance of chemistry in daily life as well as in the study of nursing and technology.
