Graphic design is a broad field that plays a role in many industries. Students will reflect on their skills in a wholistic way to identify suitable career paths and create assets that will support them in their journey for employment. They will focus on discovering their strengths and weaknesses as graphic designers and refine their portfolios in preparation for entering the job market. Students will learn how to develop design-specific resumes and cover letters targeted for specific jobs. They will also learn how to prioritize and present their portfolio materials in order to seek employment, as well as practice interviewing and networking. This course will help students explore their passions and reflect on what made them want to be designers in the first place.
