This course is designed for students whose first language is not English and who are preparing for entry into a post-secondary institution. It helps students build oral English-language competencies and study skills, as applied to academic contexts, at the CEFR B2 level. Students practice communicating collaboratively - creating space for discussion, asking purposeful questions, weighing options, and proposing next steps - while conveying detailed information and arguments from well-structured sources. Emphasis is on adapting messages to audience and medium with clarity and fluency.
