Health sciences and wellness touch every part of our lives - from how we take care of ourselves to how we support healthy communities. This introductory course helps students build a strong foundation in health and wellness while also exploring future career paths in this growing field. Students will learn about the many factors that shape personal and community health, including physical, emotional, social, and environmental influences.Through interactive projects, group discussions, and hands-on activities, students will reflect on their own well-being, set personal goals, and practice strategies to support a healthy lifestyle. They will also explore career options in health sciences and wellness, connecting their strengths, interests, and values with real opportunities in the field. Designed to empower all learners, including neurodivergent students, this course provides the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools to take the next steps toward both college success and a future career in health sciences.
