Students are introduced to elements of composition, contrast, repetition, proximity and alignment with a focus on design process in order to foster the foundation of an understanding of the core practice of applied design across a variety of media. The art and process of applying the core elements of composition to specific media, including two-dimensional communication design and type systems.
