This course deals with the print humour and writing for TV and feature film. Students work on magazine pieces as well as a 10-minute play. Attention is also given to the business side of scriptwriting: pitching ideas, acquiring an agent, etc. The focus is on dramatic structure: Three Act Structure. The students also learn the unique responsibility of telling their stories in visual terms intended specifically for the screen.
