This course aims to develop the foundational skills needed to critically interpret and apply healthcare research in administrative, managerial, and policymaking contexts. Taking the perspective of the research user - as opposed to the producer - the course emphasizes the practical application of research findings to support effective decision-making, resource allocation, and strategic planning in healthcare organizations. Students will explore core concepts in statistics, including data integrity, reliability, inference, and causality. The course also addresses ethical considerations, including research ethics and conflicts of interest, to ensure responsible use of evidence. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to assess the quality and relevance of research studies and integrate findings into healthcare management practices.
