Students acquire knowledge regarding the governing bodies surrounding hearing healthcare professionals. Students explore the codes of ethics and scope of practice differences between HIS and other hearing healthcare professionals. Students understand and apply all the concepts relating to informed consent within a healthcare setting. In depth modules on infection control guidelines and the standards of PHIPA laws are studied to prepare students for their upcoming clinical placements.
