The Advanced Hotel Operations course is a continuation of HOTL 136 - Hotel Operations Management. In this course, students will learn advanced concepts that guide the role, function and interplay of the various departments within different categories of hotels. In addition to an in-depth exploration of topics such as leadership, accounting & finance, revenue optimization, Sales & Marketing, and human resources, preparing students for a successful start to a career in the lodging industry. Students will examine the role of social media and guest evaluations in financial performance. Student learning will be enhanced by industry guest speakers and a field visit.
