Students apply the fundamentals learned in Refrigeration 1 to more complex systems. Students will apply this knowledge to the application and operation of refrigeration appliances such air to air and air to water heat pumps. Students will advance their understanding of refrigerants and their applications and characteristics. Through the use of pressure-enthalpy, pressure-temperature and psychrometric charts, students will perform system calculations to determine component selection and pipe sizing.
