This course explores the methods used by organizational development (OD) practitioners to develop an organizations capabilities by leading and managing change interventions at individual, team, and organization levels. Relevant theory on the evolution of organization development, the nature of change and managing change, will be analyzed. Practical elements of the consulting process through each phase of an organization development intervention will be examined and practiced. An emphasis will be placed on the personal and interpersonal competencies required by human resource professionals as change agents throughout each phase of the OD consulting process. This course will provide students with hands-on experience in consulting to various levels of an organization to design and propose an organization development intervention in the workplace.
