Supply Chain Management Business Processes

In this course, students develop a basic understanding of supply chain management and core logistic functions in a global economy. They describe how business processes involved in design, planning, execution and control of supply chain activities create value for a firm and ensure quality and safety of products and services from procurement to distribution. They investigate multi-lateral trade agreements, border crossing initiatives and documentation required by Canada Boarder Services Agency for customs clearance, importing and exporting of health sector products. Students get exposure to existing and emerging technology applications in supply chain. They differentiate supply chain business processes across various sectors (ex. healthcare products, food, cannabis).
