Students develop a basic understanding of the business processes that are integral to core supply chain management activities. They describe the integration of transaction-level processes that support the order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and make-to-stock processes. Students outline the steps involved in completing various business functions, such as order taking, purchasing, materials management, financial accounting and planning. They investigate the business processes and documentation required for Canadian customs and other government department clearance for cross-border importing and exporting of health sector products. Students differentiate business processes across various sectors.
