This course prepares students to fulfill management and leadership responsibilities in the P&C insurance business. The course begins with an examination of the key managerial functions of planning, organization, execution and evaluation. Students will assess their own leadership capacity and apply this understanding to the broader theories and concepts of leadership. Students will develop key leadership and change management skills, including communication, networking, coaching, conflict-resolution, negotiation and team development skills, and will have an opportunity to apply key leadership lessons to business management settings.
