Course Code: LAWS 108

Academic Year: 2024-2025

This course will introduce students to the various torts recognized in Ontario, both intentional torts and negligence, as well as aspects of contract law including elements of a valid contract, conditions, warranties, contractual defects, and include the study of remedies for breach of contract. In addition, we look at consumer protection laws' effect on contracts, the Sales Of Good Act, agency law, and some aspects of insurance contracts. All of these areas of tort and contract law provide a necessary foundation for a law clerk working for a legal professional in Ontario.
