This course examines ethical, legal, governance, and privacy considerations in cybersecurity with an integrated focus on the responsible and secure application of artificial intelligence. Students explore cybersecurity ethics, regulatory compliance, data protection, privacy-by-design, and governance frameworks, alongside emerging ethical challenges introduced by AI-driven security systems. Topics include professional responsibility, risk-based decision-making, policy development, regulatory standards, AI accountability, bias, transparency, and ethical oversight in cybersecurity operations. Through applied case studies and scenario-based analysis, students develop the ability to evaluate and govern cybersecurity and AI practices in complex organizational and regulatory environments.
