In this course students apply advanced knowledge and skills to address a complex, real-world cybersecurity challenge. Working closely with both an industry mentor and a faculty advisor, students will define the scope of their project, conduct rigorous research, and apply appropriate methodologies to generate contributions to the field. The course emphasizes experiential learning, guiding students through all stages of the research process, from problem identification and literature review to data analysis, solution development, and the presentation of findings. Students develop confidence, capacity, and skills in technical knowledge, inter-professional collaboration, critical analyses, and strategic leadership.
