The course examines gynecological organs and analyzes the anatomy of male and female pelvic structures. It explores normal embryonic and fetal development during the first trimester, emphasizing the identification of key anatomical features and their sonographic appearances. Theoretical principles supporting clinical practice in obstetrics and gynecology sonography are also discussed. In the lab component of this course, scanning techniques for gynecological and obstetrical structures are practiced. The lab emphasizes image acquisition, focusing on the quality and accuracy of images required for diagnostic interpretation in sonographic studies.
