Students learn and apply product development processes commonly known by industry. Students follow ISO Quality Management Standards (9000 series) and ISO Environmental Management Systems (14000 series). Idea-search methods are performed via browsing various publications and patent databases. Benchmarking of the product is performed for given engineering and industrial requirements. Students critique products using design risk analysis charts (D-FMEA) and prepare Test Plan and Test Flow Charts are prepared according to required Reliability and Confidence (R-C) of the given product.
