During this course students learn modern concepts of production processes and practical techniques for process management, control and improvement. Students study both statistical and non-statistical methods and tools. In addition, they learn concepts of Quality and Reliability along with tools to apply for practical case studies.Special attention at this course is paid to Root Cause analysis and Problem Solving techniques. Risk is an important part of process management and improvement. A vital part of this course is Lean manufacturing, which is focused on elimination of Mess, Wastes and Losses. Students learn both a Lean concept and practical tools with applications to manufacturing, QA and maintenance.
