Students learn essential knowledge for modelling and designing feedback control systems. They study mathematical modelling of different components, processes and engineering systems. Students investigate the time and frequency response of systems to standard inputs. Students learn how to design and tune PID controllers to achieve stable and optimal operation for servomechanisms and processes. Student working knowledge and skills in this course will be enhanced by using simulation software and laboratory activities.
