In this course, students will be exposed to the basics of Marketing with hands-on use of technologies such as SaS basic programming techniques, to collect and analyze "Big Data" customer information. Students will employ quantitative methods in the course, through interactive lectures, mini projects, and applications using SaS. Although students will be exposed to basic statistics and quantitative methods, the primary focus of this course is not to producing experts in statistics, rather, the students will acquire basic competency in Marketing Analytics and SaS application. The course uses a combination of lectures, cases, and lab exercises. Upon the successful completion of this and the Marketing Analytics 2 courses, the students will be able to apply for the certification exam: SaS Certified Base Programmer.
