Early on in this course students develop a solid understanding of the basic marketing concept and marketing mix. Students then build off these learnings in the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans. Students learn to relate the nature and dimension of marketing in Canada to their own knowledge, experience and prospective employment. This course provides the required base for more advanced marketing courses in the program's 2nd semester.
