In this course, students examine the business practices that health and exercise professionals need to know in order to start and run a business. The course covers the principles of entrepreneurship, including setting up a company, market research, developing a marketing plan, daily operations, networking, prospecting and selling skills, financial statements, time management, customer service and legal issues. Students complete a business plan as their capstone assignment and are encouraged to work on an enterprise idea that they might have.
