Within this course, learners explore the theory and application of best practices of blood and body fluid collection and handling. Emphasis will be placed on device selection, specimen site and device preparation, specimen labeling, transportation, integrity, and storage following clinical guidelines. Throughout this course, emphasis is placed on conducting all workflow efficiently and in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines to ensure patient safety and specimen integrity are maintained.
