This course introduces students to the essential digital design programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud - Illustrator and InDesign. This course will build on traditional techniques and will integrate analogue media into a digital workspace. Digital Design will provide students with the basic tools needed for drawing, layout, and image manipulation in digital media. Students will learn the capacities, strengths, and complementary aspects of each program, and will become familiar with their basic functions through weekly assignments. Students will develop and design a series of common industry projects and will prepare and export final artworks for inclusion in a personal portfolio.
