This course provides an orientation to fitness equipment and exercise modes and also encourages students to increase self-awareness of personal fitness. This lab based practical class encourages students to practice physical activity through group exercise, circuit training, exposure to personal training and other modes of exercise. Students are introduced to safe and effective exercise techniques for the major muscle groups and learn about components of fitness, active living, vitality, stress reduction and the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle as a massage therapist.
