Production skills are essential for professional musicians in an industry with ever-evolving distribution, technological and cultural trends. Students will employ a variety of digital audio hardware and software tools to demonstrate creative production techniques including MIDI composition, multitrack editing, mixing with processors, and recording. Through critical listening, analysis, and discussion, learners will grow strong communication skills and language for expressing production-related ideas and expectations. Students will exhibit effective digital audio workflows and comprehension of a variety of digital audio and sound theory concepts.
