This course is designed to give the student an understanding of a variety of improvisational and practice techniques. Emphasis will be on a logical approach to improvisation, individualism,repertoire,and style. Topics covered in this course are essential for an improvising musician performing in today's musical environment. The elements examined in this class cover a broad spectrum of topics that not only apply to jazz but can also be applied to any current music discipline.
