The objective of this course is to make clear the laws regarding music copyright. Whenever music is used and shared, there are many interests and streams of revenue to various content owners. Understanding copyright and what it protects is vital for musicians and other content owners to protect and exploit their revenue streams. The course will use case-study to demonstrate common issues of infringement, penalties, and defenses.
