The objective of the Enterprise is to set up music enterprise and work within it to bring real music to market. This is not a simulation - students will have real, original, high-quality music content from Humber's renowned Music performance program to promote and put on the market. While the course itself will officially run during the last four weeks of the program, they will have been given their music and thinking of it/working on it since the beginning of the program. At the end of this intense period, students will present their Enterprise and results to a jury for evaluation. Every aspect of the music business is covered: creation of company identity, business plan, product list with profit and loss forecasts, design, website creation, marketing plans, sales strategies, budges, digital strategies, catalogues and more. Music industry consultants (the faculty) create the deadlines, monitor progress and give advice throughout the process.
