This course focuses on enhancing learners' knowledge of system administration on UNIX servers. Administration tasks include Linux boot process, kernel and storage management, automation of tasks by scheduling and bash scripting, process management, system monitoring, SELinux security settings and system services management. Execute the installation and configuration of server applications (e.g. ssh, nfs, Samba) and containers. Learners utilize various system utilities to complete their tasks concepts are illustrated by studying the operation of an open-source Linux operating system [Fedora, Ubuntu or Red Hat or a combination of various distributions] in comparison with MS Windows wherever applicable.
