Students use knowledge from nursing and biological and social science in practice settings that may include a long-term care or rehabilitation unit. They collaborate and consult with clients and members of the inter-professional health care team to develop caring, compassionate and culturally safe relationships and to carry out safely and competently nursing assessments and interventions that promote, maintain and restore health. Using reflective practice, students develop personal learning plans that foster professional growth and strengthen their knowledge and skills. At all times, students act in a professional, ethical manner within the regulatory framework and by using the practice setting's policies and procedures.
