In this course, students explore the levels of organization within the human body, necessary for understanding the processes of homeostasis. Starting with an overview of the cell, organs and organ systems, students learn about the structures and functions of the skeletal, muscular, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, endocrine, urinary, endocrine, and immune systems. Students apply this knowledge to discover some of the roles nutrition plays within various states of health.
