Pathophysiology 1

This course welcomes students to the study of pathophysiology. Introductory content will focus on basic terminology and concepts related to cell injury, inflammation and the immune response. From there, students will examine the pathogenesis of cancer, from its genetic conception to clinical presentation and treatment. Finally, an integrated and systemic approach will be used to investigate the pathophysiological conditions of the skeletal, muscular, nervous and endocrine systems. It is expected that the student will bring a competent background in human anatomy and physiology to this course.
