Students will interpret and apply provincial statutes. Topics studied will include arrest, search and seizure authorities; common offences; and the involvement of non-police agencies. Statutes examined will be the Provincial Offences Act, Mental Health Act, Landlord Tenant Act, Trespass to Property Act, Liquor Licence Act, Coroners Act, Family Law Act, Blind Persons Act and Game and Fish Act.
