This course examines the role and scope of practice for the Pharmacy Technician in assisting patients with their nonprescription, over the counter (OTC) medications and natural health products used to treat a variety of minor ailments. Students determine when referral to the pharmacist is required and will continue to build their knowledge and skills of devices and nonpharmacological approaches to treatment.
