Students will develop the skills needed to conduct a job search, make and maintain industry contacts, and learn the basic business skills needed to work as freelancers. Students will learn about the business of media and the various players/sectors, including unions and guilds, and will also examine issues that affect the industry like fair use, copyright, security, and piracy, to support their ability to work within the legal, ethical frameworks the industry operates within.
