In this course, students examine the Ontario statutory regime governing the residential landlord and tenant relationship, including the procedures, practice and interpretative guidelines of the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board empowered to enforce the rights and duties of landlords and tenants. Students will develop experience into the dynamics of contested proceedings through simulated landlord and tenant proceedings and critical observation of board hearings.
