This course teaches students about the system of principles and rules which govern the conduct of individuals and organizations in society. Students learn about the framework of laws which constitute the Canadian legal regime. Students study how different types of laws are created; how laws are enforced, how breaches of law are investigated and litigated; and how those who break laws are dealt with. Students also learn about the Canadian court system and the associated roles of lawyers and the judiciary.
