In this course, students are introduced to the basic elements of news gathering and reporting for radio and the operations of a radio news department. Students become acquainted with aspects of information delivery including interviewing, reporting and news casting. In-class applications and practical work assignments are complemented by authentic assessment of the basic skills of news and sports writing, reporting, and broadcasting.
