This course provides students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to identify and implement revenue generation strategies appropriate to an organization (e.g., private, government, commercial, not-for-profit). Students will examine grant sources and prepare grant proposals that focus on the benefits of recreation, leisure and healthy active living. An in-depth look at the development of proposals and the implementation of innovative and creative strategies for revenue generation (e.g., sponsorship programs, partnership initiatives, fundraising, sources of funding for clients, subsidies) will also be a part of the student experience in this course.
