In this course, students examine the wide variety of groups and individuals who participate in recreation and leisure activities and programs. The diversity of populations based on age, gender, disability, socio-economic status, health and culture is discussed. Students also explore the factors associated with planning and implementing quality recreational opportunities for these diverse groups and their role in advocacy for such programs
