In this course, students learn to navigate the complex field of medical devices through knowledge of the risk-based classification of medical devices and various quality management system elements. Existing Health Canada regulations regarding the medical device's regulatory approval process are examined. Regulatory approval processes for medical devices in the US and Europe are also explored.
